Co-owner Christine Scott told CTV News in January 2026 that the younger generation are voracious readers, and a Labour Day post on the shop's page on September 2, 2026 confirmed it would open on Monday, September 7, from 9:30 to 5:30. The permanently closed pin that online maps show at 1230 Broad belongs to Centennial Market, the former vendor hall in the same building, not to this shop.

Its site highlights Prairie Canadiana, travel and exploration, the North and the Indigenous and Métis Nations, alongside literature, art books and gallery catalogues. Owner Leah Spafford is listed by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of Canada, which names book buying and appraisals among the shop's services, and a Facebook post of February 26, 2025 announced a large aeronautics and aeronautical-engineering collection she had just bought, priced to sell. The Seniors' University Group's fundraiser began in 2007 as a few tables outside the Lifelong Learning Centre and has since spread across more than 15,000 square feet of the Highland Curling Club, according to the organizers, 2.9 km north of downtown. Its 2026 edition ran from June 17 to 20, and co-chair Dianne Swanson told 980 CJME that about 150,000 items are donated each year and that setup takes about three weeks. The posted price guide runs from 50 cents to $5 for books and $5 for graphic novels, with CDs sold four to the dollar; debit, Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Donations went in through the Rose Street back entrance from May 26 to June 11, 2026, and the volunteers won't take magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias, nor the condensed Reader's Digest volumes.
