Out in Oromocto, about 16 km southeast of central Fredericton, a second-hand book boutique its owner says she opened in April 2022, which had moved to this Restigouche Road unit by January 2026. A flood that January closed it for renovations, its Instagram explained in April, and a Facebook event put the grand reopening on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Instagram posts on July 16, July 22 and August 4, 2026 flagged fresh arrivals, one of them a delivery of King books, and the shelves also carry new releases by local authors beside crystals and tarot cards. On November 7, 2026 the shop hosts Pages in the Province, a free fair of authors, independent bookstores and bookish artisans at the Fredericton Exhibition Grounds.

The Fredericton branch of CFUW (Canadian Federation of University Women) has held what it calls an annual book fair since 1964, and the club's events calendar put the 59th at the Brookside Mall from Friday, May 22 to Sunday, May 24, 2026. Everything on the tables is donated by people in and around the city, then collected, sorted and boxed by members and volunteers between March and May. The club announces its drop-off points and times in February, and the proceeds fund scholarships, rural school libraries, music programs and help for international students.
